1. Topic: Web portfolio.

Title: Deidre's Work

Description: The website will include the graphic work I've done, as well as a resume, and a brief description of myself.

Ten Job Search Sites
1. www.monster.com
Monster. com is a website that allows you to search for any job in any area. Once you sign up, you can upload or create a resume for employeers to see. You can then search for a particular job in a specific area. This site allows you to look for jobs, but at the same time allows employers to look for you too. Once you have a resume built employers can look at your resume and contact you about a job.

2. www.indeed.com
This site is a job search engine that looks a lot like google. Once you get to the page you just type in the job you are looking for and where. When you hit enter, an entire page of links pop up. These links all attach to a page that contains the job description, qualifications, location and other information. You can then choose to apply online, or add it to your "job cart" to do on a later date. This site doesn't allow you to upload a resume like monster.

3. www.careerbuilder.com
This site is a lot like Monster. On this site you can sign up and build a resume. Once you have a resume built, you can search for jobs in a certain area, and employers can view you resume as well.

4. www.simplyhired.com
Simplyhired is site that looks much like indeed. com. Within this site you can search for any job in any area. once you hit enter you get a page full of links that attach to the job description and qualifications. Much like indeed. com, you can choose to apply online or add it to your job cart. This site also allows you to search for jobs based on salary.

5. www.linkup.com
Linkup is a site that works kind of like indeed.com as well. When you get to the site you can type in the job, the location, or both. When you enter the information the site then looks for jobs off of company websites that match what you have requested and then lists them.

6.www.hotjobs.yahoo.com
Yahoo hot jobs once again works much like indeed.com. You can type in the job type, or location or both. When you enter the information it lists the job or location requested. It also lists the location and company. When you click on the job you are looking for it sends you to a page that lists the job description and requirements of the company.

7.www.linkedin.com
Linkedin is commonly thought of as a social networking site. Althought it is a networking site it can be utilized in other ways. You can use it to network with job professionals, as well as search for jobs.

8.www.craigslist.com
Craig's List is an online classifieds site where you can find about anything, including jobs. This site is not the prettiest of sites and maybe even a little difficult to use, but if you can get past that it can give you a good listing of jobs. This site doesn't give you a very detailed description of the job listes, but it does give you a way to contact the person who posted the job.

9. www.coroflot.com
Coroflot.com is a site that is specifically geared towards designers. This website is great for so many reasons. You can upload your portfolio and resume to this site. You can look up design firms and companies from every state. There's job postings too and you can set up your profile so that you get emailed about new job openings that fit your skill level. Another great thing about this website is that professionals sometimes go on it and look through the student work looking for people to hire.

10.www.creativehotlist.com
Creativehotlist.com is also another site that is geared toward designers. On this site you can you can do a lot of the same things as coroflot.com. You can upload your portfolio, look for jobs, search for companies, etc.
